Calcite pseudomorphs after aragonite were recorded throughout the high-pressure marbles of the Basal Unit (Evia Island, Greece). The pseudomorphs form a columnar microstructure oriented normal to the foliation, which developed at peak metamorphic conditions within the stability field of aragonite.
